Biography
18 July 1807–24 Dec. 1902. Farmer, millwright, county officer. Born at Onondaga Co., New York. Son of Job L. Lewis and Margaret Lowers. Moved to Westfield, Chautauque Co., New York, by 1830. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, by 1835, at Westfield. Married Elizabeth Donnelly, 23 Sept. 1848, at Knoxville, Knox Co., Illinois. Moved to Black River, Crawford Co., Wisconsin, by 1850. Moved to Isabelle, Pierce Co., Wisconsin, by 1860. Served as register of deeds and county clerk in Pierce Co., 1865–1867. Moved to Hartland, Pierce Co., by 1870; to Ellsworth, Pierce Co., by 1880; and to Superior, Douglas Co., Wisconsin, by 1900. Died at Minong, Washburn Co., Wisconsin.
