Biography

14 Jan. 1809–24 Aug. 1891. Midwife. Born in Groton, Caledonia Co., Vermont. Daughter of Aaron Frost and Susanna Gray Bennett. Moved to Bethel, Oxford Co., Maine, by 1820. Married first Nathan Stearns, ca. Feb. 1832, in Bethel. Husband died, 25 Aug. 1833. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by David W. Patten, Aug. 1836, in Bethel. Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, and lived with Brigham Young, 1836. Married second Parley P. Pratt, 14 May 1837, in Kirtland. Moved to Far West, Caldwell Co., Missouri, summer 1838. Spent part of winter 1838–1839 in Richmond, Ray Co., Missouri, prison with her husband. Accompanied her husband during his mission to England, 1840–1842. Moved to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, by 1843. Returned to Bethel, by July 1850. Migrated to Salt Lake Valley, arriving Oct. 1852. Divorced husband, 1853. Moved to Pleasant Grove, Utah Co., Utah Territory, 1853, where she died.
