Biography
16 Oct. 1792–13 Sept. 1845. Farmer. Born at Lyme, New London Co., Connecticut. Son of Zopher Gee and Esther Beckwith. Moved to Lebanon, Warren Co., Ohio, by 1814. Married Sarah (Sally) Watson Crane, 15 Nov. 1814, at Ashtabula Co., Ohio. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Zebedee Coltrin, July 1832, at Geauga Co., Ohio. Ordained an elder by Sidney Rigdon, 4 Feb. 1833. Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Apr. 1834. Member of Second Quorum of the Seventy, 1836. Appointed a president of the Seventy, 6 Apr. 1837. Member of Kirtland high council under Almon W. Babbitt, 1841–1844. Moved to Ambrosia, Lee Co., Iowa Territory, 1844. Died at Ambrosia.
