25 Feb. 1799–14 Oct. 1867. Born at Trenton, Oneida Co., New York. Son of Ebenezer Page and Rachel Hill. Married first Betsey Thompson, 1831, in Huron Co., Ohio. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Emer Harris, 18 Aug. 1833, at Brownhelm, Lorain Co., Ohio. Ordained an elder by Ebenezer Page, Sept. 1833, at Florence, Erie Co., Ohio. Married second Lavona Stevens, 26 Dec. 1833, in Huron Co. Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, 1835. Proselytized in Upper Canada, 1836–1837, and led company of converts from Upper Canada to Missouri, 1838. Located at De Witt, Carroll Co., Missouri, and then Far West, Caldwell Co., Missouri, 1838. Ordained member of Quorum of the Twelve, 19 Dec. 1838, at Far West. Married third Mary Judd, ca. Jan. 1839. Moved to Warsaw, Hancock Co., Illinois, 1839. With others of the Twelve, returned to Far West to fulfill revelatory directive, 26 Apr. 1839. Preached in eastern U.S., 1840–1842. Member of Nauvoo Masonic Lodge. Presided over church in Pittsburgh, 1843. Published Gospel Light, 1843–1844. Served mission to Washington DC, 1844. Admitted to Council of Fifty, 1 Mar. 1845. Removed from Quorum of the Twelve, 9 Feb. 1846. Excommunicated, 26 June 1846. Supported James J. Strang’s claim as successor to JS. Dropped from Council of Fifty, 12 Nov. 1846. Editor of Strangite newspaper Zion’s Reveille, 1847. Affiliated with faction led by James C. Brewster, 1849. Moved to Walworth Co., Wisconsin, by 1850. Held own religious services with William Marks and other friends, by 1855. Joined Church of Christ (Hedrickites), Nov. 1862. Died near Sycamore, De Kalb Co., Illinois.
